Sage Tip - Creating a Shortcut on the Desktop
First right click on a blank space on your desktop, a
menu will appear, chose new, then chose shortcut.
The create shortcut wizard will appear.
In the text box type the path to your Sage software
executable file, it is likely to be something like this:
C:\program files\Sage\Accounts\Sage.exe Alternatively
you can use the browse function to locate the file
If you are using an old version of Sage 50 Accounts the file
may be titled SFW.exe, or if you are using Sage Instant
Accounts the it will be called Instant.exe
Once you have located and selected the file click next,
in the title box you can rename the file to whatever you
would like it called on your desktop.
Then click Finish
The icon will now appear on your desktop, you can see it
is a shortcut because it will have a small arrow on the
bottom left of the icon.
You can now drag the icon to where you would like it.
This principle is the same for other software
applications too. |
