designed to build on the features provided by Sage
Payroll and meet the needs of companies requiring
greater payroll processing capabilities. A powerful yet
flexible tool, Sage Payroll Professional helps you to
process large volumes of payroll data quickly and
accurately, and includes easy to use facilities that
enable you to process your employees’ payments without
the need to understand the complexities of payroll
legislation.

Save time with Batch Timesheet Entry
If you pay your employees varying hours, the batch
timesheet entry option provides you with a quick and
easy way to process your payroll. You can apply changes
and process for a large number of staff without having
to access their individual records: all employees’
payment information can now be entered on one screen to
speed up the process.
Identify anomalies with Reconciliation Assistance
To keep control of your payroll, you can drill down
into employee year-to-date values to assist with
identifying discrepancies and establish how the total
figure has been calculated.
Monitor changes with Exception Reporting
You can automatically report on irregularities with
your payroll figures, based upon pre-determined variance
settings. This also helps you monitor changes made to
employee data, including gross and net pay, pensions,
payments and deductions.
Work more efficiently by Importing/Exporting Data
To save time, you can import information such as
employee and payment details to your Sage Payroll
Professional software. You can also export the
information to a Comma Separated Values (CSV) file for
use with other applications such as Excel. CSV files are
a universally accepted standard and are probably the
easiest way to share data between software applications.
Project salary costs with Salary Review Forecast
To help ensure you remain in budget, you can project
costs and determine the effect of proposed salary
increases or decreases over a range of given timescales,
departments or cost centres. You can forecast for the
next month, quarter or year, and view the impact on both
employee salary and employer requirements (e.g. pension
and NI payments).
Microsoft Office Integration
For all-round efficiency, you can e-mail employees
direct from your Sage Payroll Professional software,
maintain payroll tasks in Outlook, create Outlook
contacts with your employee or pension provider, and
create mail merge documents containing selected payroll
information.
