Sage Construction Estimating Software

The Estimating module links directly to Sage Construct Advanced and offers a simplified process for responding to, and creating client tenders.

Estimates can be built quickly and accurately by re-using library components. A simple example would be a 4 square metre wall, for which each square metre may have material and labour components within it, you simply drop that item into the estimate and enter a quantity of 4, all items within that square metre are then multiplied accordingly along with any cost and recharge prices. From there you can print your Bill of Quantities.

Once an estimate has been accepted by the client it can be instantly converted to a job, eliminating duplication of data.

Easily log all enquiries which are received, track contact details site address and respond by date.

Libraries and building Estimates

Multi level sections and composites can be created with an almost unlimited number of items. The user creates libraries of rates, sections or even whole quotes which are then dropped into the estimate. For future tendering, a detailed analysis report compares purchases and actual costs on the contracts which have been won.

Construction Estimating and Quotes

Whilst estimating the user can adjust costs and recharge rates by individual item or globally by type. This allows you to see the affect of changes before applying those changes to the whole tender or against a specific supplier. The quotation may then be printed as a complete bill of quantities or as a simple letter.

Schedule of Rates

The importing feature allows a user to import either the NSR (National schedule of rates), the SMM7 price books or existing Excel based pricebooks, by combining these with the library feature in the software, users may process and job cost contracts in these formats. Alternately libraries can be easily built within the system, by using the copy feature, then amending prices and/or descriptions.

Integration with Sage Construct Advanced

Every detail of the estimate can be instantly transferred into the job costing module with just a few key strokes. The job is then set up instantly enabling you to start entering costs against the correct items and cost heads.

Reporting

Reports which are generated by the system can be sent via email or printed out. You can also screen list copy and paste directly to Microsoft Excel, or use the new ICA Reporting Tool to create and update excel reports.
