Sage Construction Software
Designed for the UK construction industry and used by
over 1000 UK construction companies. Sage Construction
costing software, builds on the
expertise Sage has in providing accounting software and
makes it specific to your industry. The
integrated cost control module manages job costing, variations, CIS,
retentions, valuations,
applications and many other processes specific to the
UK construction industry.
Sage Construct Advanced
For companies who require a fully
integrated solution, Sage Construct Advanced,
is built around a core job costing system, you
can add multiple variations, track subcontractor insurances, generate purchase
orders, delivery notes, plant hire PO's, create
valuations based on your costing structure which convert
to applications, then invoice and create
numerous reports. Sage construction software fully
integrates with both Sage 50 Accounts and Payroll, or
Sage MMS / Sage 200.
Added Functionality
In addition to the core construction software, there
is an
Estimating
module which adds to the functionality in Construct
Advanced. With the Estimating module, users create
client quotes based on a schedule of rates, mark them up
and when the job has been won, send all quantities,
values and descriptions to the costing module, ready for
the processing of documents.

No standard accounting package caters specifically to
the unique processes which exist in
the UK's construction industry, incorporating Sage
construction software can provide a fully integrated
approach. All job related transactions are entered
through the Construction interface so you can report on and
maintain job cost information, whilst the transactions post
through to your Sage accounting software. Double entry
is eliminated because the data flows from Sage Construct directly to
your Sage Accounts and Payroll software.
Accessing your data through Sage Construction software could not be easier, from a range of reports
including several Work In Progress Reports
(WIP,) contract and aged application reports. If you have more specific requirements
from your reporting the Sage report writer is
incorporated, alternatively ICA,
Intelligent
construction analysis, is a flexible method of reporting
on your live data from Excel.
Enter a purchase invoice into Construct and the
financial information posts to your accounts, you will
probably
see 3 transactions in your accounts, one for the
purchase invoice itself, the second for a CIS deduction
and the third only if you are holding retentions. Once
you pay your sub contractor in the accounts, your software will read this information back
and do all calculations necessary for the online CIS
return, then print your subcontractor
statements.
You can report on jobs at
any stage, showing actual costs, verses committed costs,
against your budgets, enabling you to identify any
potential overspends before they happen.
Finance or stage payments are available to help you
spread the cost of your investment by up to 3 years.
